Universal Technical Institute Long Beach Earns "School of Distinction" Award

Less than four percent of schools received this recognition in the 2022-2023 accrediting period.

LONG BEACH, Calif. (Dec. 14, 2023) -- The Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Long Beach campus was recently named a “School of Distinction” by its accrediting body, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).

The ACCSC School of Distinction award recognizes schools that demonstrate a commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation and delivers quality educational programs to students.

"Providing high-quality education and preparing our graduates for the workforce is our highest priority," commented Anthony Pham, UTI Long Beach campus president. "Receiving the ACCSC School of Distinction Award validates the dedication and commitment our faculty and staff demonstrate daily to our students' success."

Established in 2015, UTI-Long Beach is located in the Los Angeles Basin. The 137,000-square-foot campus offers automotive, diesel, collision repair, welding, and airframe and powerplant programs. BMW's Manufacturer Specific Advanced Training (MSAT) program, FastTrack, is also offered.

The U.S. Department of Education recognizes ACCSC as the designated accrediting body for more than 650 post-secondary, trade, and technical schools that serve more than 150,000 students nationwide in various vocational programs each year. Out of the 650 schools now accredited by the ACCSC, only 23 schools earned "Schools of Distinction" awards in the 2022-2023 accrediting period.
