Universal Technical Institute-Exton Named "School of Excellence" by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges

Less than four percent of schools received this recognition in the 2022-2023 accrediting period.

EXTON, Pa. (Dec. 14, 2023) -- Universal Technical Institute (UTI)-Exton was named a “School of Excellence” by its accrediting body, the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).

The School of Excellence Award is the most prestigious institutional honor granted by ACCSC. It recognizes accredited member schools for their commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation and for demonstrating exceptional student achievement.

"Supporting our students as they work toward graduation and their career goals is our highest priority. Being recognized by ACCSC as a School of Excellence validates and celebrates the daily dedication and commitment of our Exton faculty and staff," commented Steve McElfresh, UTI Exton campus president.

Established in 2004, UTI-Exton is located 35 miles northwest of Philadelphia. The 129,000-square-foot campus offers automotive, diesel, robotics and automation, and welding technology programs. Three Manufacturer Specific Advanced Training (MSAT) programs are also offered: BMW FastTrack, Ford FACT and Cummins Engines.

The U.S. Department of Education recognizes ACCSC as the designated accrediting body for more than 650 post-secondary, trade, and technical schools that serve more than 150,000 students nationwide in various vocational programs each year. Out of 650 schools now accredited by the ACCSC, only 22 schools earned the highest “School of Excellence” award in the 2022-2023 accrediting period.
