“Peter was selected by his peers as the instructor of the year,” said Robert Burnfield, Campus President at UTI-Miramar. “The education leadership team recognizes Peter’s commitment to not only his students and their success but his support of fellow instructors. He is a warm, kindhearted person who works with each student and coworker as an individual, knowing one size does not fit all. Each person has their own skills and experiences and connects with other people in different ways. Peter is consistently recognized by his students for his approachability, support, knowledge and passion for the automotive industry.”
Roberts joined UTI as an automotive and HVAC instructor in 2022.
“I’m honored to be named “Instructor of the Year,” but want to take this opportunity to recognize the hard work and dedication put in by all of my colleagues,” said Roberts. “The majority of us came to UTI after many years in the industry, with the goal of passing our knowledge and expertise on to our students. We work to educate, motivate and inspire them everyday in order to set them up for a rewarding, lifelong career when they graduate.”
The “Instructor of the Year” winner at all 16 UTI and MIAT campuses nationwide was announced at their respective campus on May 5. UTI industry partner Snap-On is also helping to recognize them by sponsoring a feature wall at each campus that includes a photo of the “Instructor of the Year.”
