Universal Technical Institute-Dallas/Fort Worth Named 2022-2023 Military Friendly® School
I am grateful that our campus has been recognized with this designation. Our faculty and staff are honored to support U.S. military veterans in their pursuit of their career education and employment goals. We are thankful for their service to our country, and we are thankful to all veterans who allow us to serve them in return as their career school of choice,” commented Jesus Miranda, UTI-DFW campus president.

DALLAS, Texas (Feb. 22, 2023) – The Universal Technical Institute-Dallas/Fort Worth campus has been named a Military Friendly® School for the 2022-2023 academic year. Military Friendly® is an organization that is committed to creating better outcomes for veterans by providing positive reinforcement for American organizations that invest in programs that improve the lives of veterans.

Universal Technical Institute and other organizations earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2022-2023 survey with 665 earning special awards for going above the standard.

Located at 5151 Regent Blvd. in the Dallas-Fort Worth suburb of Irving, the UTI-DFW campus has been educating and preparing students of all ages and all stages of their life and career for more than 12 years.  The UTI-DFW campus encompasses more than 60,000 square feet of training space and includes 28 classrooms and specialty labs. Core programs include automotivediesel, and welding technology, as well as the Peterbilt Motors Company Manufacturer-Specific Advanced Training program. UTI offers a Salute to Service Grant, which provides military veterans a 10 percent tuition reduction. [1] Military veterans can attend UTI at little or no cost to them by accessing Post 911 GI benefits. UTI offers military-only campus orientations, which provide veterans one-on-one assistance from an admissions representative to help them navigate the complexities of military benefits.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer), and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.

“I am grateful that our campus has been recognized with this designation.
