ELLENTON, Fla. (March 21, 2016) – Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and four-time Monster Jam World Finals® champion, Dennis Anderson, announced the winner of the 2016 UTI Grave Digger Scholarship. Anderson selected Jared Sharp of Imperial, Neb., as the recipient of the $20,000 scholarship, which was awarded prior to the Monster Jam World Finals® Racing Championship at Sam Boyd Stadium on Friday, March 18. Established in 2005, the UTI Grave Digger Scholarship has been awarded to individuals seeking a career as a professional automotive, diesel, or collision repair technician. During that time, 12 students have been awarded this scholarship. Jared was chosen by Anderson because of his ambition and passion for the automotive industry. Currently, Monster Jam employs 19 technicians who are graduates from UTI and NASCAR Technical Institute, several of which are former recipients of the UTI Grave Digger Scholarship.
