The Group Achievement Award is given to a group of women who work together to make an exceptional contribution to the automotive and mobility industry.

Students at automotive schools, such as the Universal Technical Institute, Cerritos College, and Long Beach City College, are among prime candidates to participate in the program.

She attended Universal Technical Institute, trained at BMW’s factory training and worked as a dealer technician for seven years. That led to the vision to develop her own auto repair shop where she could welcome and train women as technicians.

James is an ASE master diesel and automotive mechanic. Mechanics are his passion. He's permanently fixed cars. He attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix after high school.

Later, Roush Yates Engines, a manufacturer of high-performance racing engines, approached UTI when the company needed more skilled machinists. In 2017, this partnership prompted UTI's CNC machinist training program at its NASCAR Technical Institute.

Craig, a graduate of Universal Technical Institute and the Peterbilt Technician Institute, says the tests were difficult, but what the judges were trying to see not if you could fix the problem, but if you could fix it the correct way.

To date, the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology, Universal Technical Institute and Ohio Technical College have provided $2.7 million in scholarships for Hot Rodders of Tomorrow students.

He is currently attending the Universal Technical Institute on scholarship in the diesel mechanics program so he can better manage his family’s farm equipment in the future

The parade will depart from Universal Technical Institute at 1515 Broad Street and make its way to the south end of town and back, driving near every public school in town.

“I always liked using my hands and creating things,” he said. “I went down the path of becoming a diesel mechanic, which brought me here. I went to school at Universal Technical Institute in Exton, then worked in West Chester.”

After spending time at the racetrack, students were invited to Universal Technical Institute (UTI) for a tour of their Rancho Cucamonga facility. There, they were able to see students, in class, testing the quality of their work as the engines were run on the school’s dynamometers.

He attended the NASCAR Technical Institute in Mooresville, North Carolina. Upon graduation, he went to PIT Instruction and Training for eight weeks of pit crew training before landing his first job with Richard Childress Racing.

Cummins Inc. is partnering with STEM Fuse, a STEM-focused curriculum provider, to bring "Career Highways" to Universal Technical Institute (UTI)-Avondale students.

Among the trade schools at the fair was the Universal Technical Institute, which representative Jose Vasquez said “provides students with programs in the transportation industry, manufacturing sector, and energy sector.” Vasquez detailed UTI’s offerings to students, such as its “16 different programs, 15 campuses, and 35 leading manufacturing partners.”

BMW of North America and UTI offer the BMW MSTEP technician training program at Camp Pendleton and Fort Bragg, N.C., while Premier Truck Group and UTI offer a diesel technician training program at Fort Bliss, Texas. The programs are available to service members with a technician background who are transitioning to civilian life.

That’s why we have built a welcoming environment and programs like this that appreciates their service and sacrifice. We are committed to help our veterans reach their full potential.”
