The Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Austin has four programs preparing students to work in a variety of jobs, with a couple of those programs giving them the skills to work in data centers: welding and HVAC training.

Instead of going the traditional college route, Morillon chose to attend Universal Technical Institute, where she focused on automotive training.

Most diesel tech training can take more than a year, but some specialized certifications can be obtained in fewer than 15 weeks. Cummins, Peterbilt, and Daimler Truck North America each offer 12-week manufacturer-specific training hosted by Universal Technical Institute.
