In South Florida, growth is impossible to miss — it’s in the skyline, on the roads, and across neighborhoods reshaping the region.

Hundreds of Inland Empire children will receive free dental care later this month, as Concorde Career College’s San Bernardino campus hosts a one-day event aimed at expanding access to preventive oral health services.

Rockkeisha Tomlin, RN, is a nurse and preceptor in the Emergency Department at Broward Health Coral Springs. She began her nursing career on the medical and telemetry unit, where she built a strong foundation in acute and complex patient care. Tomlin earned an associate degree in nursing from Concorde Career College.

As a participating TRIP employer, Durham and its sister brands will be able to showcase their career opportunities through UTI’s career pages, job boards, print collateral, digital campaigns, and on-campus job fairs – linking students with a potential post-graduation employer that is ready to hire skilled transportation technicians.

UTI is opening a new 50,000-square-foot campus in San Antonio dedicated to skilled trades training, including programs in Aviation, Welding, HVACR, and Electrical Technologies, under the leadership of Christopher Finn.

Universal Technical Institute (UTI), a national leader in workforce education for the skilled trades, energy, electrical, and transportation industries, is expected to open a new campus in Smyrna in 2026.

That doesn’t come as a surprise to Jerome Grant, chief executive of Universal Technical Institute Inc., a company that provides training across a number of fields, from automotive mechanics to dental hygiene (the latter is offered through a separate division).

As San Antonio's trade industries experience significant growth, the demand for skilled technicians is on the rise. In response, Universal Technical Institute is establishing its first campus in the city dedicated entirely to skilled trades training.

That’s a company that offers training programs for jobs and transportation, skilled trades, in the healthcare, among other fields.
