The Group Achievement Award is given to a group of women who work together to make an exceptional contribution to the automotive and mobility industry.

Students at automotive schools, such as the Universal Technical Institute, Cerritos College, and Long Beach City College, are among prime candidates to participate in the program.

She attended Universal Technical Institute, trained at BMW’s factory training and worked as a dealer technician for seven years. That led to the vision to develop her own auto repair shop where she could welcome and train women as technicians.

James is an ASE master diesel and automotive mechanic. Mechanics are his passion. He's permanently fixed cars. He attended Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix after high school.

Later, Roush Yates Engines, a manufacturer of high-performance racing engines, approached UTI when the company needed more skilled machinists. In 2017, this partnership prompted UTI's CNC machinist training program at its NASCAR Technical Institute.

Craig, a graduate of Universal Technical Institute and the Peterbilt Technician Institute, says the tests were difficult, but what the judges were trying to see not if you could fix the problem, but if you could fix it the correct way.

To date, the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology, Universal Technical Institute and Ohio Technical College have provided $2.7 million in scholarships for Hot Rodders of Tomorrow students.

When Moore got out of active duty, staying with trucks was a natural move. She went to school at the Universal Technical Institute and went through Peterbilt’s Peterbilt Technician Institute.
