March 1, 2011 - On Thursday, February 23, the NASCAR Technical Institute campus in Mooresville, North Carolina, welcomed U.S. Senator Richard Burr. Serving as a North Carolina Senator since 2005, Sen. Burr focuses on job growth and a strong educational system. While he was in the area speaking to a group of high school students, he made a pit stop to tour the NASCAR Tech campus.
He was met by Jennifer Waber, campus president, and John Dodson, director of community relations. Sen. Burr has been supportive of the for-profit education sector during recent Senate hearings and has used NASCAR Tech as an example of excellence in the sector.
