NASCAR Tech Campus President Jennifer Bergeron accepted the 2014 School of Excellence Award from the ACCSC on behalf of the campus. |
Each year, the Commission formally pays tribute to the major achievements of ACCSC-accredited institutions, and recognizes individuals who play a role in institutional success. Jennifer Bergeron, campus president of NASCAR Tech, traveled to Denver to attend the ACCSC Award Ceremony and accept the award on behalf of NASCAR Tech. The ceremony was hosted during the annual
Professional Development Conference (PDC).
“This honor recognizes our campus for our devotion to student success, both in the classroom and after graduation,” said Jennifer Bergeron, campus president of NASCAR Tech. “Our staff is committed to providing students with high-quality training that prepares them directly for great jobs in a growing industry. This award speaks to our dedication to the UTI mission of helping people achieve their dreams.”
The School of Excellence Award recognizes ACCSC-accredited schools for their commitment to the expectations and rigors of ACCSC accreditation, as well as the efforts made by the institution to maintain strong student outcomes. To be eligible for the School of Excellence Award, an ACCSC-accredited institution must meet the conditions of renewal of accreditation without any findings of non-compliance, satisfy all requirements necessary to be in good standing with the commission and demonstrate that the majority of the school’s graduation and employment rates for all programs meet or exceed the average rates among ACCSC-accredited institutions (762 institutions across the United States and Puerto Rico) over a five-year period.
