February 1, 2013 - UTI-Exton Joins Hundreds of Thousands of Auto Enthusiasts at 2013 Philadelphia Auto Show

More than 700 vehicles from 40 manufacturers rolled through the Pennsylvania Convention Center last month for the 2013 Philadelphia Auto Show, and an admissions team from Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Exton was there for all the excitement!

In its 112th year, the 2013 Show was a sprawling 630,000 square feet of everything automotive, making it the biggest auto show in Philadelphia’s history. That equates to 11 football fields filled with every kind of car or truck imaginable, plus exclusive classic, antique, and American muscle car displays, and even a tricked-out tuner display from DUB Magazine. With all this sheet metal to admire, the Philadelphia Auto Show is one of the top-five most attended auto shows in the nation. It is also an ideal place to meet thousands of auto enthusiasts – and that is exactly what UTI-Exton’s admissions team did while parked in its display booth at the Show.

Andi Houseworth and Hector Guzman, both of UTI-Exton’s Admissions team, were onsite during the Show. Each day, Houseworth and Guzman set out to meet auto enthusiasts and inform those who expressed interest about UTI-Exton and the important role automotive technical institutions play in today’s industry. Potential students and their families were impressed to learn UTI-Exton is one of the top technical schools in the region. Houseworth and Guzman were happy to detail the Automotive Technology and Diesel & Industrial Technology programs offered at their campus and also frequently highlighted the Ford Accelerated Credential Training (FACT) and Toyota Professional Automotive Technician (TPAT) electives. With a first-class admissions team onsite, the 2013 Philadelphia Auto Show proved a great venue to share the remarkable stories of UTI-Exton.

The Automobile Dealers Association of Greater Philadelphia (ADAGP), established in 1904, is the owner and producer of the Auto Show. The ADAGP is the oldest association of its kind in the nation. Comprised of 180 franchised new car and truck dealers throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, the Association also leads lobbying efforts and provides training seminars. Many ADAGP members are loyal to UTI-Exton, having employed many graduates since the Exton Campus was established in 2004.
