December 3, 2012 - Minuteman High School Honors UTI Norwood for Volunteer Work to Revamp the High School’s Auto Shop

At a recent Advisory Board dinner for Minuteman High School in Lexington, Mass., Michelle Roche, director of career and technical education, presented a plaque to UTI-Norwood staff members for their volunteer efforts to renovate, reorganize, wash, and paint the school’s auto shop. Max Steiner, admissions representative at UTI-Norwood, accepted the plaque on behalf of the campus volunteer team.

“Real world experience is an important part of the student experience, and especially important to employers,” said Ernest Houle, principal of Minuteman High School in Lexington, Mass. “The auto shop is an integral component of our Automotive Technology program, and renovating its interior is the first step in our plan to enhance the learning environment for students. We appreciate the UTI employees who volunteered their time and effort to help with this project.”
