September 18, 2012 - Tunerlife Tour Speeds through Chicagoland

More than 250 automotive fanatics from around the Chicagoland area made their way to the Universal Technical Institute-Glendale Heights campus on Saturday, September 8 for the final date of the 2012 national Tunerlife tour.

The day-long free event allowed tuner car enthusiasts the opportunity to both show off and view these unique performance oriented, modification-friendly autos. More than 200 cars were on display across the UTI-Glendale Heights campus, showcasing everything from intricate designs and decals on the body of the vehicles to boosted sound systems.

“The event gave tuner fans a chance to come together and appreciate the culture and cars that they and others drive all while touring the UTI campus,” said Mike Vivona, Local Marketing Manager of the UTI-Glendale Heights campus.

In addition to being able to check out tricked up Hyundai Tiburons and a Shockwave Corvette, the UTI-Glendale Heights campus was joined by the TJIN Edition Road show on-site during the final show of the Tunerlife 2012 tour. Visitors to the show were able to get an up-close view of the modified tour racing cars.

Prior to crossing the finish line of its national tour at the UTI-Glendale Heights campus, the 2012Tunerlife Tour also made stops at UTI campuses in Boston, Dallas, Houston and Orlando.
