August 31, 2012 - Cristian Raymundo Named Roger Penske Outstanding Student Award Finalist, Representing Universal Technical Institute in Norwood
UTI Norwood student Cristian Raymundo was recently named as a national finalist for the Roger Penske Outstanding Student Award. The award recognizes exceptional UTI students who are dedicated to succeeding in the automotive service industry and who have demonstrated the ability to assist other students to do the same.
Raymundo, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, graduated from UTI Norwood in July 2012. While a full-time student, he was also working full-time in the diesel field yet still dedicated himself to helping his fellow students in addition to maintaining a high GPA and near-perfect classroom attendance record. Raymundo was also recognized with a coveted Student of the Course award.
As a Roger Penske Outstanding Student Award finalist, Raymundo received a $500 cash award. He is currently working as a diesel technician at Penske in Braintree, Mass.
