August 24, 2012 - Universal Technical Institute Dallas Celebrates Two-Year Anniversary

Universal Technical Institute’s Dallas campus recently celebrated its two-year anniversary. Since opening in the summer of 2010, the campus has graduated 15 classes as it continues to provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in the global marketplace of the 21st century.

“In the past two years, our campus has made great strides in helping students train for careers as automotive or diesel technicians, and also developing relationships in the Irving and North Texas areas,” said Sandra Muskopf, Universal Technical Institute Dallas Campus President. “We look forward to providing more students with the skills necessary to start a successful career path and continuing to positively impact the communities where our employees and students live and work.”

The Universal Technical Institute-Dallas campus is the first of the school’s 11 campuses located across the country to offer a new blended learning curriculum that provides more convenience and training flexibility for its students. This new curriculum model features extensive hands-on experience that is supported by classroom instruction and interactive online learning. It is the same approach used by many of the industry’s top employers for training their own in-house technicians. Students are only required to spend 4.5 hours per training day on campus. The rest of their coursework can be done online when and where they choose, allowing them to work while going to school. The school runs three sessions during the weekday: 7:00am, 12:30pm, and 6:00pm.
