August 13, 2012 - UTI-Norwood Donates Clip Car to Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School

UTI Norwood recently donated a clip car to Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School in South Easton, Mass. Peter Huckins, a Southeastern senior, won the Clip Car for the school by taking gold in the SkillsUSA Massachusetts (www.maskillsusa.org) auto repair competition in April.

A clip car is an actual car that has been cut in half providing a training tool that provides students with invaluable hands-on experience as part of their technical education. UTI-Norwood’s donation of a clip car is an enormous value to local public technical high schools that are struggling to maintain educational standards in a tough, budget-minded economy.

UTI-Norwood is proud to work with SkillsUSA Massachusetts to manage and support the automotive, diesel, and marine competitions for technical high school students at the district and state levels within Massachusetts.
