July 27, 2012 - City of Houston Council Member Visits UTI-Houston

Last month, At-Large City of Houston Council Member Jack Christie visited the UTI-Houston campus to learn more about how the campus is preparing future automotive, diesel and collision repair technicians. A former Spring Branch ISD Board President and State of Texas Board of Education President, Council Member Christie understands the importance of higher education and technical training.

Campus President Ken Golaszewski gave Council Member Christie a tour of UTI-Houston’s 220,000-square-foot training facilities, illustrating UTI’s dedication to  educating students in and outside the classroom. The tour also demonstrated how UTI-Houston is committed to helping students become devoted, educated and responsible community leaders. Council Member Christie was particularly impressed with the professionalism of the UTI students, their dedication to learning, and the outstanding training facilities.
