On May 15, Houston FOX affiliate business reporter Tom Zizka visited the UTI-Houston campus to learn more about UTI’s commitment to military students. He met with campus president Ken Golaszewski and UTI students (and husband and wife) Cassandra and Houston Russell. President Golaszewski discussed the professional and personal characteristics former military students bring to UTI-Houston. Cassandra and Houston touched on the value of education and career opportunities offered to UTI students. Furthermore, advocate and employer of several former military UTI graduates, Chris Fogt of Crown Lift Trucks, commented highly on students’ professionalism, attention to customer service and knowledge acquired through their time at UTI.
Cassandra and Houston (collision and automotive students, respectively) are both enrolled at the UTI-Houston campus. During their tenure with the U.S. Army, Houston was an IT professional and Cassandra was an Intelligence Analyst. Both were deployed to Afghanistan and Cassandra was also deployed to Iraq.
