Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne spent a recent afternoon learning more about Universal Technical Institute (UTI) and the training it provides North Texans for jobs in the auto and diesel repair industry. Mayor Van Duyne joined UTI-Dallas Campus President Sandra Muskopf and UTI-Dallas Director of Auto/Diesel Programs Jesus Miranda for a tour of the campus including stops in the auto, diesel and hybrid labs. During the visit, the Mayor and campus leadership discussed ways for UTI-Dallas to help make a positive impact on Irving where the campus is located.
“Universal Technical Institute is committed to good corporate citizenship,” said UTI-Dallas Campus President Sandra Muskopf. “From our involvement with the Irving Chamber of Commerce to Irving ISD, we are helping to create a stronger Irving so when our students graduate, they are staying here to work, making an impact on the local economy.”
