Aug. 25, 2011 - On July 23, six staff members from the UTI –Exton campus participated it in the 2011 “Take A Swing Against Breast Cancer” at Clipper Stadium in Lancaster, Penn. The event was a homerun derby to raise money for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition, an organization that supports patients and survivors of breast cancer.
This was the second year UTI-Exton staff came out to the ballpark. The two UTI teams, “Team Power” and “Team Performance,” squared off in a hitting display of epic proportions. In the end, Team Power compiled 1280 points for a narrow victory over Team Performance with 1275 points.
“This is a fantastic way for UTI to support our communities, build team spirit, and help raise funds for a great cause” said Greg Gunter, event organizer and Technical Team leader for UTI-Exton’s FORD FACT program.
