July 26, 2011 - NASCAR Tech's Motorsports Day 2011 a Success

These rings belong to Glenn Feiste – Education Manager, who was an assistant engine builder and helped to win four Daytona 500 championships.

Motorsports Day 2011 at NASCAR Technical Institute(NASCAR Tech) was another exciting and fast-paced day! The NASCAR Tech parking lot was filled with race cars representing many areas of motorsports, students competed in a tire changing competition and a drag race between teams to see who could push the race car down the course the fastest. 

Inside the campus, local racecar drivers were on hand to sign autographs for students and staff. There was also a special display area which showcased the biographies of campus instructors and staff who had prior careers in motorsports. 

John Dodson, the NASCAR Team Relations Director at NASCAR Tech, was thrilled with success of the event. “The credibility that our instructors from the motorsports industry enhances the quality of education we provide our students,” he said. “When you think NASCAR racing and motorsports, NASCAR Tech is no dress rehearsal.  This is the Big Time motorsports training and we are the real deal!”
