April 22, 2011 - Recently, the NASCAR Technical Institute (NASCAR Tech) campus was given an award on behalf of the US Department of Defense and the ESGR (Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve). Typically, this award is given to organizations that contribute to the United States’ national security by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force. NASCAR Tech received the award for supporting student participation in the National Guard.
John Dodson, Community Relations Director at UTI, was on hand for the award presentation. “Being recognized as a patriotic employer means a great deal to the staff here at NTI. Each day we have the opportunity to work with our military veteran students as well as our active National Guard students. Not only is it a pleasure to have them as UTI/NTI students, it’s a privilege. We are forever indebted to them for their service and our commitment to their future will continue to be a top priority at NTI,” said John Dodson.
